Carrie Senderhauf | CO-Founder

Carrie Senderhauf is a National Board-Certified Acupuncturist and certified Functional Medicine Practitioner, and the co-founder of Rooted Alchemy Collective. She holds a Master of Science in Acupuncture and Eastern Medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder and has completed thousands of hours of advanced clinical training, including her studies at the Heilongjiang University Hospital in Harbin, China.

As she expands into a new integrative wellness center partnership, Carrie brings over a decade of clinical experience and a deeply patient-centered philosophy to this next chapter of care. Her work focuses on women’s health and fertility, hormone balance, pain management, sports medicine, and stress-related conditions. She is known for creating highly individualized treatment plans that may incorporate acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, cupping, and functional medicine-informed nutrition and lifestyle strategies.

Carrie’s professional path has been shaped by both rigorous clinical training and her own personal healing journey, which continues to inform her compassionate and results-driven approach. In addition to private practice, she served as head acupuncturist for the University of Denver, supporting athletes with performance optimization and injury recovery.

Carrie is committed to creating a more comprehensive, elevated healing environment that honors the depth of East Asian medicine while integrating seamlessly with complementary healthcare modalities. Her mission remains rooted in empowering patients to understand their bodies, address the root causes of imbalance, and achieve sustainable, long-term wellness.

Outside the clinic, Carrie enjoys spending time with her family in Keystone, especially during ski season. She is an avid traveler and music lover who rarely misses an opportunity to explore new destinations or experience live music. These personal passions continue to inspire her belief in balance, joy, and living well both inside and outside the treatment room.

Sara Cate MOSER | Co-Founder

As a co-founder of Rooted Alchemy Collective, Sara Cate holds a deep belief that healing happens in connection supported by a community who can meet us at every level: mind, body, and spirit. With over a decade of experience in somatic trauma therapy and seven years in private practice, she was moved to cultivate an environment where skilled practitioners could co-create alongside one another to widen their impact. At the heart of her work is a commitment to whole-person care and the transformative power of a harmonious mind-body connection.

Sara brings a multidisciplinary foundation to her practice. She holds over 500 hours of yoga training and a certification in Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) from the Center for Trauma and Embodiment in Boston, MA. She is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), holds a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Clinical Supervisor in the state of Colorado. For nearly a decade, she has worked in crisis and trauma intervention, developed programming for women and children in high-conflict environments, and facilitated women's empowerment groups aimed at breaking cycles of trauma patterning.

On a personal level, her deepest passion is expanding access to mental health and wellness services across all communities ensuring that no one's healing journey is limited by circumstance.

Sara Cate hopes that every heart that enters this collective will feel seen, held, and honored for all that they are, and all that they want to become.

WHERE SHADOW BECOMES GOLD

WHERE SHADOW BECOMES GOLD

A woman with long blonde hair and a black shirt is sitting at a wooden table, looking down and organizing tarot or oracle cards. There are some cards laid out in front of her, including one with a chalice symbol. A deck of cards and a booklet or instruction sheet are also visible on the table. In the background, a bookshelf and some shelves with books and a potted plant can be seen.

The Alchemy

Mission

Rooted Alchemy Collective is devoted to creating an inclusive, trauma-informed space where individuals can reconnect with their bodies and reclaim their well-being. Through somatic trauma therapy, acupuncture, functional medicine, and other integrative modalities - including nervous system regulation, mindfulness-based practices, breathwork, and body-centered healing - we provide whole-person care that honors the connection between mind, body, and spirit. We believe healing is cyclical, embodied, and relational. Our work centers on accessible, compassionate care that supports regulation, restoration, and the remembrance of innate resilience.
